Together, we’ve raised an extraordinary $931,000. We're now just $69,000 away from $1 million!

We're thrilled to share that together we've raised an an extraordinary $931,000 towards our $1 million Lend Your Voice campaign goal.

The Songs of John Farnham Celebration Concert on 20 September was an extraordinary moment for Lend Your Voice, with $765,000 raised through and in connection with the event. We’re incredibly grateful to concert organisers TEG Dainty and Cochrane Entertainment, philanthropic supporters, artists and event partners who made this possible. A further $166,000 has been raised thanks to the wonderful support of the Australian public and our corporate partners, including $13,000 collected by our amazing volunteers at the concert.

Head and Neck Cancer Australia CEO Nadia Rosin is thrilled that the Lend Your Voice campaign resonated with so many people.

"To everyone who donated, attended, volunteered, shared our message or contributed in any way, thank you for lending your voice," she said.

“We are deeply grateful to the Farnham family, the performing artists, concert producers, corporate partners, clinicians, volunteers and supporters who helped make the weekend such a success. We are now just $69,000 away from our $1 million goal, and with your continued support, we know we can get there.”

We were honoured to be chosen by John Farnham as the charity recognised through The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend Celebration Concert held at Rod Laver Arena. It was an extraordinary opportunity for the charity as more than 120 Australian and international artists came together to celebrate John Farnham, while helping to raise awareness of head and neck cancer and support our work with people affected by the disease.

The concert put Head and Neck Cancer Australia on a national stage, reaching more than 14,000 concertgoers, generating national media coverage and amplifying our message through some of Australia’s most recognised artists.

We wanted to make the most of this unique opportunity through our Lend Your Voice campaign. Our aim was not only to raise awareness during the concert itself, but to build lasting support for people affected by head and neck cancer. Across the weekend, we invited the public to learn more about head and neck cancer, share messages of support on our virtual message wall and help raise funds for Australians affected by the disease.

The response was extraordinary. More than 300 people received free oral cancer checks in Bourke Street Mall and Rod Laver Arena, delivered by a team of 10 volunteer specialist dentists. While many attendees were reassured following their screening, 22 people were referred to their GP or dentist for further investigation. Every conversation helped raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of oral cancer and the importance of early detection.

More than 40 volunteers also generously gave their time to collect donations, share information about head and neck cancer and engage with concert attendees. We are incredibly grateful to all our volunteers for their enthusiasm, energy and commitment throughout the weekend, helping make our involvement such a success.

The concert weekend also gave us the opportunity to bring together patients, families, healthcare professionals, supporters and partners at a special charity cocktail reception before the concert.

We were delighted to celebrate the charity's first decade alongside members of our community, with a special performance by Michael Paynter, whose generosity and support helped make the evening truly special. The event was warmly hosted by Head and Neck Cancer Australia Ambassador and Channel 9 journalist Brittany Coles, creating a wonderful opportunity to connect and celebrate how far our community has come.

From Hugh Jackman, Human Nature and Tina Arena to corporate partners, members of the head and neck cancer community, supporters and fans across Australia, people from all walks of life have lent their voices to the cause.

We’re now just $69,000 away from our $1 million goal.

With Christmas approaching, if you’re considering making an end-of-year donation, please consider donating to Lend Your Voice.

Every donation will help us move closer to our $1 million goal and support Head and Neck Cancer Australia to continue providing free access to specialist nurses, counselling and trusted information, while advocating for earlier diagnosis, better care and improved outcomes.

Can't donate? You can still Lend Your Voice. Share our campaign with a friend, family member, colleague or organisation who might want to get involved. Every share and every donation can bring us closer to $1million!

We are especially grateful to EAR Studio for creating our powerful Lend Your Voice campaign theme, and to oOh!media, ARN’s Gold Network and Painting in Pictures for their invaluable support in bringing the campaign to life through free radio advertising, digital and outdoor advertising, and the campaign video shown at the concert, helping our call to action reach as many people as possible across Australia.
