A fond farewell and a warm welcome to the HANCA Board
Today we say farewell to A/Professor Ardalan Ebrahimi, one of HANCA’s founding Directors who has retired from the Board after nine years of voluntary service.
It is with a great deal of gratitude that we thank Ardalan for his passion, dedication and countless hours of work to establish HANCA. In particular, Ardalan played a pivotal role, together with a team of equally dedicated healthcare professionals, patients and carers, in developing the world-class educational resources that are freely available on the HANCA website today and accessed by over 400 people every day.
Most recently Ardalan was Chairperson of the Expert Advisory Committee (EAC) who informed the development of the HNC GP and Dentist and Education Module. Ardalan was also instrumental in organising HANCA’s inaugural Capital Classic in Canberra at the beginning of April with his former patient and now Board Director, Carolyn Smith.
Thank you, Ardalan! You will be missed!
We are delighted to announce that Ardalan's replacement as a Clinical Director on the Board will be Dr Matthew Magarey. Matthew is a leading ENT HNC surgeon from Melbourne who has provided expert review of HANCA’s educational resources and most recently was part of the EAC for the HNC GP and Dental Education Module. Welcome Matthew!
