Webinar: Lymphoedema after Head and Neck Cancer
This webinar focuses on head and neck lymphoedema, why lymphoedema occurs and how it can affect people. It will also focus on how head and neck lymphoedema can be addressed with the support of a health professional and through self management.
Presented by Dr Amanda Pigott, an occupational therapist, lymphoedema therapist and lymphoedema researcher with over 25 years of clinical experience. She works as a specialist clinician in the cancer-related lymphoedema clinic at the Princess Alexandra Hospital has extensive experience working in the public health system specialising in lymphoedema clinical care. She runs an active consultancy training health professionals in oedema management.
Dr Pigott also holds an honorary appointment as a research fellow at the University of Queensland and is actively involved in multiple research projects investigating the effects of cancer treatment on lymphoedema development and experience.
