Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month

Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month | July 2026
World Head and Neck Cancer Day | 27 July 2026

Start a Conversation

This July, start a conversation about Head and Neck Cancer.

A conversation can save a life.

Every year, over 5,600 Australians are diagnosed with a type of Head and Neck Cancer.

Many signs and symptoms can be mistaken for common illnesses, which can delay diagnosis and treatment.

This Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month, we're encouraging Australians to Start a Conversation.

Whether it's a conversation with your GP about a symptom that won't go away, a discussion with your dentist, or simply sharing information with family and friends, speaking up could make all the difference.

By learning the signs, raising awareness and supporting people affected by Head and Neck Cancer, we can help ensure that no one faces Head and Neck Cancer alone.

Starting a conversation can help:

  • Raise awareness of Head and Neck Cancer
  • Encourage people to seek medical advice when symptoms persist
  • Support people affected by Head and Neck Cancer
  • Reduce stigma and isolation
  • Help more Australians access information and support

One conversation could lead to an earlier diagnosis.

One conversation could help someone access support.

One conversation could save a life.
